Who We Are

TBUN Institute of Technology helps technical experts, trainers, and institutions turn knowledge into structured learning systems.

TBUN Institute of Technology is a Malaysian TVET institution focused on developing competent trainers, future-ready educators, and practical training systems for the modern workforce.

We believe that strong technical knowledge alone is not enough. For skills and expertise to create real impact, they must be converted into structured learning experiences that learners can understand, practise, apply, and transfer into real work.

Our work focuses on helping people and institutions build training that is practical, structured, outcome-driven, and future-ready.

Our Core Focus

Train The Trainer

We develop trainers who can design, deliver, and assess learning effectively. Our focus is not only on presentation skills, but also on training structure, learner engagement, assessment design, and real learning outcomes.

AI-Enabled Learning Systems

We help trainers and institutions use AI to improve lesson preparation, content development, learner support, training documentation, and digital delivery. Our goal is to make AI practical, accessible, and useful for real training environments.

Digital Training Transformation

We support the transformation of traditional training into structured, digital-ready, and scalable learning systems through LMS, automation, content systems, and blended learning design.

What Makes TBUN Different

TBUN combines TVET recognition, trainer development experience, and AI-enabled learning capability.

TVET Recognition

A JPK-recognised TVET institution with a strong focus on skills-based education and trainer development.

Trainer Development Expertise

Practical experience in developing trainers from different industries, backgrounds, and levels of experience.

AI + Digital Learning Capability

A future-focused approach that helps trainers and institutions adopt AI tools, learning systems, automation, and digital delivery methods.

We do not only train people to teach. We help them build training systems that can be delivered, assessed, improved, and scaled.

Potential Collaboration Areas

TBUN is open to meaningful collaboration with TVET institutions, industry partners, technology providers, government-linked stakeholders, and strategic education partners in the following areas.

Trainer Development

Developing trainers, industry instructors, and technical experts to become more effective educators.

Digital Curriculum Localisation

Supporting the localisation of digital and technical programmes for Malaysian learners, trainers, and institutions.

AI-Assisted Lesson Preparation

Helping trainers use AI tools to prepare lesson plans, training materials, learner activities, and assessments more efficiently.

Microcredential Readiness

Supporting institutions and trainers in structuring short, focused, outcome-based learning modules.

Blended Learning Delivery

Designing training experiences that combine classroom learning, online learning, community learning, and practical application.

Trainer Community & Ecosystem

Building a positive trainer ecosystem where trainers can continue learning, collaborating, and improving together.

How TBUN Can Support Malaysia-China TVET Collaboration

As Malaysia strengthens TVET and industry-education collaboration with international partners, one important challenge remains:

Technology transfer is only effective when local trainers can understand it, teach it, assess it, and adapt it to local industry needs.

TBUN aims to support this gap by helping trainers and institutions convert technical knowledge into structured, teachable, and industry-relevant learning programmes.

Technology transfer needs trainer capability. Trainer capability needs structure, systems, and continuous development.

Proposed Pilot Concept

Malaysia-China Digital Trainer Development Pilot

TBUN proposes to explore a small-scale pilot programme to support trainer development under ICT, digital technology, and future skills collaboration. This pilot can support institutions, industry partners, and trainers who are involved in digital transformation, AI learning adoption, technical programme localisation, and future workforce development.

Possible Pilot Structure

  • 30 to 50 trainers
  • 6 to 8 weeks blended learning format
  • Focus on trainer capability, AI lesson preparation, assessment design, microcredential structure, and digital delivery
  • Final output: each trainer develops one structured mini training module or microcredential prototype

Pilot Outcomes

By the end of the pilot, participating trainers should be able to:

  • Convert technical knowledge into structured training modules
  • Prepare lessons with AI-assisted tools
  • Design learner activities and assessments
  • Deliver training through blended learning methods
  • Align learning outcomes with industry needs
  • Improve training documentation and delivery consistency

Our Work in Action

TBUN has trained learners and professionals from various industries through practical, structured, and outcome-focused programmes. Our training approach emphasises real application, learner engagement, structured delivery, and continuous improvement.
